Best Place Ever was built on a simple conviction: the right property changes a trip entirely. We don't rent out just any space — we seek out places with genuine character, extraordinary settings, and the kind of atmosphere that makes guests feel both cared for and free.
Our portfolio spans four distinct properties across the Western Cape and Robertson — from mountain wine farms and sea-facing apartments to forested retreats and wide-open valley estates. Each has been personally selected, is individually managed by our team, and reflects a location we genuinely love.
We only choose properties that feel genuinely connected to their surroundings — not designed to look like they could be anywhere. Our wine farms are on working estates, our mountain retreat is deep in the forest, our harbour apartment is the first thing you see from the water.
Each property is in a place we believe in, and we share that belief with every guest through our local guides, personal recommendations, and genuine hospitality.
Our team personally manages each property — we know the squeaky gate, the best reading chair, the trail that only locals know about. When something isn't right, we fix it. When a guest has a request, we respond.
We're not an agency with hundreds of listings. We're a small team with four properties we're proud of — and that distinction matters in how every stay feels.

Best Place Ever began as a shared dream. For us, Alexandra and Gabriel, a German & South African couple, it started with the simple wish to create a place that feels real, warm, open, and made with heart. What began as a renovation soon became a journey shaped by friendships.
We built this place together with friends. Builders became companions, conversations turned into ideas, and people from different countries and cultures left their marks in ways both visible and subtle. Every space carries traces of those moments — hands that worked with care, shared meals, laughter, and the quiet pride of creating something together.
The spirit of Best Place Ever also lives in the people who welcome our guests each day. Michelle, our Queen of Breakfast, starts mornings with warmth, care, and her unmistakable smile. Sahidi, the good soul of the house, looks after the guests and the place itself — always present, always attentive, and always greeting everyone with a friendly smile.
Best Place Ever is not just where we host guests. It is where we feel at home. A place where we slow down, reconnect, and open the doors to others. We created it so people can meet, relax, and feel comfortable — where strangers may become friends, just as they did for us.
